Nobody in Lake County goes to bed hungry.

For almost four decades, Leesburg Food Bank has served Lake County, Florida with free groceries, hot meals, and hurricane relief. We operate a daily pantry, a community kitchen serving breakfast and lunch six days a week, and a rapid-response stockpile that deploys after storms knock out power and paychecks.

What we do

Foster homes, not kennels.

Animals waiting on adoption with us sleep in real beds, get used to kids and other pets, and arrive at their new family with a behavior profile built over weeks, not a label stuck to a crate.

Daily Pantry

Open six mornings a week. Families receive a three-to-five day supply of groceries including fresh produce, meat, and dairy. Average visit time under twenty minutes.

Hot Meal Kitchen

Breakfast and lunch served six days. Our dining room is open to anyone, no questions asked. About 240 meals plated each day.

Hurricane Stockpile

Shelf-stable food, water, and hygiene kits ready to deploy after tropical storms. We coordinate with Lake County Emergency Management.

Every dollar moves an animal closer to home.

Our budget is public. Over 91% of donations go directly to animal care, not overhead or fundraising.
